Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the most difficult decisions you may ever make in your life. Integrative Veterinary Center offers in clinic euthanasia when you and your pet are ready for that hard decision. We are committed to making the process as easy as it can be. Our Doctors and Staff are compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental; we are committed to helping you make the decision that is best for your pet’s quality of life and for you and your family.
What to expect
The first few moments of the appointment will be spent organizing the required paperwork and authorization. Feel free to ask as many questions as needed. Everything will be done at the pace you and your pet request, you may take all the time you need. The actual procedure is quite simple and peaceful. If you choose to be present, an intravenous (IV) catheter may be placed in a front or rear leg to administer the drug. Once you and your pet are ready the doctor will administer the drug intravenously. It works very rapidly, usually no longer than a few seconds. One of our Doctors will then confirm that your pet has passed on. After the euthanasia you are welcome to continue to spend as much time as you need with your pet.
Home Burial: You may take your pet’s remains with you for a home burial at no extra charge.
Cremation and Cemetery Burial Options

At Home Euthanasia
Unfortunately, at this time Integrative Veterinary Center’s Doctors are not able to perform the euthanasia of your pet at your home. We have a wonderful relationship with mobile veterinarians who do offer at home euthanasias. Many times it is best not to stress your pet more by bringing them away from their home in their last moments, having the euthanasia done in the comfort of your home with family, friends, and other pets can make this difficult time more peaceful.
